Availability: As of September 2026, I have slots available on weekdays (afternoons and evenings).
At the time of writing, these slots are available at the following UK times:
- Tuesdays: 2pm to 3pm and 5pm to 6pm.
- Wednesdays 2pm to 3pm, 5pm to 6pm and 6:20pm to 7:20pm.
- Thursdays: 5pm to 6pm.

Most of my students take weekly sessions on a long-term basis (6 months to 2 years). This is to maximise the impact of the tutoring sessions. However, I am happy to consider other arrangements.
Pricing
For A-Level Economics tuition, I charge £89 per tuition hour.
Improving students’ economics results has been my full-time commitment since 2020, both through tutoring and resource creation. As a result I have acquired significant experience in how to improve students’ grades.
Each year I take on a limited number of tuition students. This allows me to spend much more time and focus on each student’s improvement, beyond the session hour (see below).
Not just one hour a week – beyond the tutoring session
Tutoring for me is so much more than just the hour. Outside of sessions, I work hard to ensure I can help my tuition students as much as possible.
Here is what I do outside of sessions, all included in the session fee:
Specific homework tasks
I set specific homework tasks for each student to focus on their weak areas (content and exam technique) in economics.
Detailed homework feedback
My comments are more detailed than most teachers have time to write. I can then explain what it actually means to improve your economics essay specifically.
Ask me questions!
I am always available for questions from the student over email, whether about exam technique, the course content or anything economics related!
Setting and marking practice tests
Particularly before a mock exam or the actual exams, I set my own practice papers for students in timed conditions and mark them.
Personalised session planning.
Session plans target your weaknesses, while putting grade improvement above all else. Sessions are adapted over time to suit each student.
Review of any school tests
I encourage my students to share their school tests. This way I can give you more specific and actionable feedback than teachers often have time to write when marking.
Session updates for parents
I regularly provide updates to parents. These updates cover progress, what’s being covered, homework feedback and the next steps.
University applications
I can advise students on university applications and personal statements, especially for economics and related courses.
When you add all this up, this represents a significant amount of extra work outside of the session hour. All included within the session fee.
The sole goal of this additional work is to help you improve your economics. Inside and outside of the sessions, I will work hard to help you achieve this goal.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have other available slots?
If the slots mentioned above do not work for you, please let me know. I would be happy to be flexible and consider other slots.
Please kindly note that in general, I do not offer weekend slots. My tutoring takes place on weekdays.
Does the price differ for different levels of economics?
My price is £89 per hour for A-Level Economics tutoring.
For undergraduate economics, the rate is slightly higher at £99 per hour.
How do you accept payment?
I have a business bank account. I share the account details at the start of the tuition.
Payment is due by the end of the day of the session at the latest.
I can either accept individual session payments in advance or advance block booking of 4-8 sessions.
What is your cancellation / no-show policy?
I do not charge for cancellations when there is at least 24 hours’ notice.
For shorter notice cancellations, I reserve the right to charge the full rate. Discretion will naturally be shown in cases of health emergencies for example.
I have a three-strikes rule for “no-shows”, where a student does not show up unannounced for a session. If this happens three times, I will conclude the sessions. This is to make sure my time is best used to help students.
Do I have to commit to a certain number of lessons?
There is no minimum number of lessons.
Almost all my students have weekly sessions, however you can cancel the tuition arrangement any time.
What if I cannot afford the one-to-one tuition price?
I understand that the price of one-to-one tuition may not be affordable for everyone.
So, I devote a lot of my effort and time to creating free (or much cheaper) resources on this website.
These resources include exam technique and course content notes, specific to your exam board.
Please do use these resources – they are meant for everyone. My goal is to help as many students as possible improve their economics.
